Me Robert Faguy obtained a degree in political science (Hon.) In 1986 as well as a degree in civil and common law in 1991 from McGill University in Montreal. Me Faguy joined Prévost Fortin D’Aoust (PFD Avocats) in 1994 and became a partner in 2000. Me Faguy was a member of the firm’s executive committee from 2011 to 2018 and was appointed managing partner of the firm from 2014 to 2017.
Since being admitted to the Bar in 1992, Me Faguy practices commercial litigation and advises financial institutions as well as small and medium-sized businesses.
Over the years, he has successfully represented companies and individuals in legal proceedings, both in claim and defense, in several areas: shareholder disputes, representation of secured and unsecured creditors, bankruptcy and insolvency, and general commercial litigation.
Me Faguy also advises and represents his clients in their business transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganization and restructuring, sales transactions and various other business interests.
Me Faguy also acts as general counsel in close collaboration with several business leaders in order to guide them in their business projects and legal challenges.
Social involvement
Me Faguy is regularly invited to act as a speaker by various association organizations, particularly in the sports industry, mainly to manufacturers and distributors of sporting goods.
