Ms. Couturier has over 10 years of professional experience in public administration and has been involved with non-profit organizations in the Lanaudière region, notably by serving on administrative boards.
In 2009, she made the leap into politics and was elected as a municipal councilor for the City of L’Assomption. She served on the urban planning advisory committee and the family committee. During her term, she contributed to the development and launch of the city’s family policy and the acquisition of an ecological park, with a view to leaving a green space for future generations of L’Assomption residents.
In 2014, she was hired as a deputy’s assistant in the House of Commons. In this role, she acted as a strategist and advisor to federal MPs and assisted local community organizations in various dealings with government entities.
With a certificate in municipal services management, Ms. Couturier began studying for a Bachelor’s degree in law at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) in 2018 and was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2023.
After beginning her career in municipal and administrative law in private practice, Ms. Couturier joined the team at Prévost Fortin D’Aoust, where she practices municipal law.
