Professional information

Julie Métivier joined the Prévost Fortin D’Aoust team in February 2026 as a notary. Admitted to the Quebec Chamber of Notaries since 2006, she holds a Graduate Diploma in taxation and a Master’s Degree in taxation from the University of Sherbrooke, earned in 2009 and 2013.

Throughout her career, Ms. Métivier has developed a diverse practice. She has frequently advised clients on will and estate planning, corporate law — particularly in the context of reorganizations and the establishment of trusts — and commercial financing.

Her practice at PFD Avocats now focuses on her expertise in personal protection and estate planning. She assists clients with the preparation of both simple and complex wills, power of attorney and guardianship documents, the drafting of trusts and the procedures involved in probate of a power of attorney when a loved one becomes incapacitated.

Ms. Métivier also assists with certain aspects of estate settlement, providing guidance that takes into account the individual’s wishes, family situation and any resulting tax and estate planning considerations. Her experience enables her to approach these steps with meticulous care and to propose solutions tailored to each client’s specific circumstances.
