Professional informations

Me Axel Fournier holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Montreal where he was entered on the Dean’s Honor Roll for the excellence of his academic results. He also holds a master’s degree in law during which he wrote a thesis analyzing the impact on the legislation of Quebec commissions of inquiry studying integrity-related matters.

Before joining the Prévost Fortin D’Aoust team in September 2016 as a law student, Mr. Fournier worked as a research assistant with two professors from the University of Montreal: Martine Valois (administrative law and constitutional) and Jean Hétu (municipal law and history of the Faculty of Law).

Social involvement

Greatly involved socially, Me Fournier has been a member of the town planning advisory committee for the City of Varennes since 2013, in addition to being a member of the culture and heritage committee for the 350th anniversary celebrations of this town.

In addition, he is involved in the promotion of public transit by acting as a spokesperson for the Association for collective transport of the South Shore, a group of public transit users. He is also a director of Trajectoire Québec, a national group of public transit users.
