Professional informations

Samuel Bergeron holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Université de Sherbrooke and a Bachelor of Common Law from Queen’s University Faculty of Law in Ontario. Mr. Bergeron specializes in civil and commercial litigation, and is a partner at PFD Avocats.

Mr. Bergeron has extensive experience in construction law, advising contractors, owners and condominium corporations on all aspects of a construction project, including calls for tenders, contract drafting, appeals to the Bureau des soumissions déposées du Québec (BSDQ), construction industry regulations (CCQ, CSST, Régie du bâtiment, etc.), construction bond, construction insurance, and Construction legal hypothec (construction lean) , as well as the analysis and interpretation of claims for additional costs.

From 2002 to 2017, Mr. Bergeron worked for a major Montreal law firm. His services are regularly called upon in strategic teams set up for large-scale litigation, as well as for extraordinary remedies such as injunctive relief.

In addition, Mr. Bergeron is regularly called upon as a speaker and panelist as an expert in construction law.

In addition to construction law, Mr. Bergeron represents insurance companies and their policyholders in civil and professional liability, commercial liability and construction insurance litigation.

Social involvement

Very involved in his community for many years, Mr. Samuel Bergeron has established a network both in the metropolis of Montreal and in the various regions of Quebec. He was President of the Board of Directors of the Thérèse-de-Blainville Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 2013 to 2015 and has been involved in this organization since 2009. Mr. Bergeron has also been President of the Board of Directors of the Collège Lionel-Groulx since 2016.

He is a member of the PFD Executive Committee and the PFD Recruitment Committee.
