Mr. Jean-François Carrier joined the Prévost Fortin D’Aoust team in January 2017 as an articling student to complete his Bar School articling period, and was appointed partner as of January 2024. Mr. Carrier’s practice focuses primarily on commercial law, in both in litigation and transactional matters. He is also involved in matters involving consumer law, competition, real estate brokerage, trademarks, shareholder disputes, estates, commercial leases and employment matters.
During his studies, he completed three internships as a law student with a major international firm law, working primarily in the area of labor law.
As part of his duties, Mr. Carrier is regularly called upon to make representations before the various Quebec courts, and frequently acts in cases involving injunctions and pre-trial seizures. Mr. Carrier has also had the opportunity to assist his clients in their dealings with the Autorité des Marchés Publics (AMP) in connection with public calls for tender.

Jean-François Carrier holds a bachelor's degree in law from the Université de Sherbrooke (co-operative program), for which he was included in the Dean's List for the excellence for his academic results.
