Professional informations

Mtre Celina Toia joined Prévost Fortin D’Aoust in June 2021.

She currently practices in the civil and commercial litigation department of the firm. Prior to working at Prévost Fortin D’Aoust, Celina worked for a top-tier criminal law firm, and later practiced for several years at a firm that specialized in Italo-Canadian relations. Since her call to the Bar, she worked on important constitutional and disciplinary law matters.

Before embarking on her current legal practice, Celina studied international private, public and commercial law across Europe and worked as a research assistant for several years at UQAM, specializing in international commercial law and CETA. In June 2021, Celina successfully completed the introductory exam for Associate status with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (ACIArb).

Social involvement

Celina is very implicated in the Italian community of Montreal. She is Secretary and Head of Volunteer Recruitment for the Association of Italian-Canadian Jurists of Quebec (AICJQ), Member of the Casa d’Italia, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada (ICCC), the Chambre de commerce et d’industrie de Montréal-Nord (CCIMN) and the CIBPA Montreal, as well as Researcher for the Canada EU Trade and Investment Association (CEUTIA) and the Association of Young Canadian Arbitration Practitioners (YCAP).
