Mtre Chouinard earned a law degree from Université de Montréal in 1981 and has been an attorney at Prévost Fortin D'Aoust since 1983, devoting her career to labour law. She completed a graduate diploma in specialized legal studies in 1987. In 1991, she was made partner in the firm, where she sits on the human resources committee.

In her many years of practice, Mtre Chouinard has represented clients from various economic sectors, including manufacturers, SMEs, municipalities, health sector and other public institutions and individuals in labour proceedings and disputes. She gained corporate management expertise through grievance settlements, labour agreement negotiations and representations before administrative tribunals such as the Commission des relations de travail, the Commission des lesions professionnelles and several others.

Mtre Chouinard is also active in her community, especially as a member of the board of directors of several non-profit organizations such as the Centre de prévention du suicide le Faubourg and the Fondation Marc Chouinard, a group that provides assistance to people suffering from brain injuries. Mtre Chouinard has joined several chambers of commerce and industry in the Laurentians and finds time to lecture at various associations.

As a member of PFD's human resources committee, Mtre Chouinard remains focused on training the firm's most promising young attorneys by sharing her knowledge and expertise.

Through the years, Mtre Chouinard has developed trust relationships with her clients, providing simple and practical advice and innovative solutions to best serve their interests.
