Mtre Jessica Schmitt joined PFD in February 2016. She practices business, corporate and transactional law. She is involved in every stage of business transactions, particularly in mergers, acquisitions and restructuring. Mtre Schmitt also supports organizations in the normal course of business by providing legal counsel, conducting negotiations and drafting contracts (shareholder agreements, service agreements, employment contracts, commercial leases, confidentiality undertakings, non-competition undertakings and all other types of business contracts).
In addition to her law degree, Mtre Schmitt holds a bachelor's in business administration from HEC Montréal. She possesses an excellent understanding of her clients' business needs and protects their interests with drive, pragmatism and efficiency.
During her university studies, Mtre Schmitt worked as a research assistant to professor and author Vincent Karim, most notably collaborating with him on Contrat d'entreprise, contrat de prestation de services et l'hypothèque légale, published by Wilson & Lafleur.
In addition to her practice, Mtre Schmitt is involved in Pour 3 points, an organization that fosters youth development in disadvantaged areas through sports.
