Étienne Morin was called to the Québec Bar in 1999, when he joined the labour law group at Prévost Fortin D'Aoust. He advises and represents employers in work relations and occupational health and safety matters, individually and collectively.
Mtre Morin drafts and negotiates employment contracts, collective agreements, termination agreements, internal policies and employee handbooks. He represents clients before administrative authorities, including the Commission des normes, de l'équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CNESST), the Administrative Labour Tribunal (TAT), occupationnal health and safety division (formerly the CLP) and labour relations division (formerly the CRT), the Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB), grievance arbitrators and courts in all jurisdictions.
Mtre Morin's approach is driven by pragmatism and rigour, and he remains focused on the best interests of his clients within a broader work relations context. His clients include businesses of all sizes as well as organizations in the municipal and health and social services sectors.
Mtre Morin speaks at conferences and provides training for groups and especially clients. He has also contributed to legal journals on labour and municipal law issues.
