André Morin


Mtre Morin earned a law degree from Université de Montréal in 1983 and an advanced graduate diploma in February, 1992. He was admitted to the Québec Bar in November, 1984. Specializing in property disputes (construction law), he possesses over 35 years of experience in the field.

Mtre Morin is highly active in his community, being a memeber of several professional associations and organizations, such as the Association de la construction du Québec (ACQ), the Société de développement économique Thérèse-de-Blainville (SODET) (now disbanded), and the Chambre de commerce Thérèse-de-Blainville of which he was the president in 2000-2001. He is also a director of Odyscène, a regional broadcaster, and was a director of the Fondation Drapeau-Deschambault from 2013 to 2015. He teaches students registered in the Quebec Bar School's professional training program, particularly in the field of prior claims and hypothecs.

Mtre Morin also piloted PFD's expansion into the Lower Laurentians, where it has positioned itself favorably.

Head of the law firm's construction sector, he specializes in high profile cases involving work providers, whether private or institutional, as well as contractors and subcontractors. He also presides over the firm's real estate committee and, in that capacity, participated actively in the acquisition and planning of the current PFD offices in Boisbriand. He has also given several conferences regarding legal hypothecs of construction and has published articles in the field. He has acted as an arbitrator in certain files in the field of commercial litigation.


Social involvement

Mtre Morin is a firm believer in the benefits of physical activity. He is a competitive swimmer and a member of the Club des maîtres-nageurs de Blainville. He has also participated in a number of major provincial and national competitions.
